Spacious loft conversion

The Hayloft is a spacious Loft with conservation Vlux windows fitted in the roof and a large window in the bedroom showing fabulous views of the hills.  On clear nights a full moon can be seen rising above the hills and later on the stars provide a wonderful constellation!

The Hayloft bathroom is downstairs and has a loo, sink and a very decent power shower.  Upstairs the sitting area is spacious and has sofas and chairs.  The Hayloft bedroom is bright, airy and has been tastefully designed in a dormitory style with proper 3ft wrought iron single beds with comfortable mattresses and quality linen.  If you are booking.  The bedroom has a small balcony with a wonderful view overlooking the scenic Honddu Valley as well as a good view of the horses fields and stables.  The Hayloft kitchen is fitted with a fridge, electric cooker and micro-wave and there is ample room to sit at the large table for meals.  The living area has two sofas, a table and soft lighting.  There are plenty of games, puzzles, books, maps and brochures.  During the summer a BBQ and seating is provided through the arched door.  There is no television.

If you are arriving by horse or bicycle provisions for breakfast can be made with advanced booking and our local pub is within 5 minutes easy walking distance for evening meals.

Damson Cottage is a traditional stone cottage with its own private orchard garden and a stream meandering through that is very popular with the Alltybrain Farm ducks! From every window there is a view of stunning welsh countryside. This Holiday Cottage has Wi-Fi and yet offers a peaceful retreat for two.

Damson Cottage is a charming 200 year old selfcatering holiday cottage which is up a private lane and set back off the yard at Alltybrain Farm. Recently graded five stars by Visit Wales this attractive holiday cottage in Wales provides excellent accommodation for two people. Duck Cottage

Duck cottage is a traditional stone converted barn which retains many old features including a large oak beam complete with its wooden pegs for hanging the farmhorses’ leather harnesses.

This welsh holiday cottage has been restored to a high standard giving comfortable accommodation with central heating, a wood burning stove, a fully equipped kitchen and a lovely flag stone floor. Duck Cottage has fabulous views from every window and double doors from both the sitting room and large bedroom which open out onto a sheltered sunny patio area. There is a private lane up to the cottage and plenty of safe parking space secure area for bicycles and walking or canoe equipment. The cottage is 4 miles from Brecon and close to The Brecon Beacons National Park.

Duck Cottage is graded 4 Stars by Visit Wales.

Explore the local area

The village pub is within easy walking distance and serves good food.   The popular Cradoc Golf Club is 3 miles away, Cantref Riding and Trekking Centre is 5 miles away and The Brecon Beacons National Park Visitors’ Centre is 8 miles away.  Open all year, the Visitors’ Centre is an important first place to visit to gain information about the geography,  local history and culture of this part of Wales.

Fishing on the rivers Usk or Wye, horse riding lessons or trekking, Red kite watching, visiting the Dan-yr-Ogof Caves, Coal mines, Raglan Castle and Aberglasney gardens are some of the many activities and Welsh attractions to visit. Hay-on-Wye is famous for its book shops and The Hay Literary Festival which is held every year during May is just a half-hours drive away.  Brecon Jazz Festival is held each year in August and in July The Royal Welsh Show is held in Builth Wells, just 12 miles away.  Brecon Farmers Market is held every 2nd Saturday of the month.
